For Windows Vista and older Windows versions 

First download the current version of the simulator:

Notes about using Quest on a Windows Vista PC

1) Try to run the install (setup.exe) as the administrator. To do this, right-click on the setup.exe file and then choose "Run As Administrator." Once installed, you should run the Quest program (quest.exe) in a similar fashion. Don't just click on the program to run it; right-click on the quest.exe file and then choose "Run As Administrator." Running the program as an Administrator helps to alleviate some of the problematic security protocols used by Vista.

2) Aside from running the program as the administrator, there is also a compatibility setting in Vista. To configure the compatibility mode for an application, just locate the installation directory and right click on quest.exe. Then select Properties from the menu. Select the Compatibility tab and set it to Windows XP (Service Pack 2). You would then still want to run the program as the administrator.

3) There are also methods for updating shortcuts so that every time you click on a Quest Hockey shortcut, you will run as an Administrator in Windows XP Compatibility mode.
 

Before installing the simulator, please be sure to first un-install any old copies of the "Quest Hockey Simulator" that you may still have on your computer. This includes any old demo copies as well as older registered versions. Follow the directions below to uninstall. These directions may be slightly different based on the version of Windows that you are running.

To Uninstall: Select START.
Then select SETTINGS.
Then select CONTROL PANEL.
Choose the ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS icon.
Locate QUEST - HOCKEY SIMULATION and Click on it.
Respond YES to remove the old version.

To Install: Unzip the contents of quest_2009_07_30.zip to a temporary folder and run setup.exe to initiate the install process. Follow the step-by-step instructions.

Registering The Software: Once you have downloaded and installed the software, you may be working with a demo version of the simulator. In order to work with the full-blown version of the simulator, you must get it properly registered. After installation, upon starting the program you will notice an Evaluation ID. After payment, you must provide this ID to us via email. We will then send you a Registration ID. This Reg. ID will make your version registered and allow you to use all of the simulator features.
